COMPOSITION

190 mg calcium gluconate, 45 mg calcium glucoheptonate, 60 mg magnesium chloride, 4 mg butaphosphane, 10 mg calcium d-sacaride

USAGE AND DOSAGE

It is administered by intramuscular (i.m.), intravenous (i.v.) and subcutaneous (s.c.) route in cattle, horse, sheep, goats and dogs. Pharmacological dosage is as calcium at a ratio of 22,62 mg/kg live weight, magnesium at a ratio of 15,32 mg/kg live weight and butaphosphan at a ratio of 4 mg/kg live weight. Bovine-Foal 50-100 kg 50-100 ml Intravenous (i.v) Sheep-Goat 50-100 kg 50-100 ml Subcutaneous (s.c) Dog 5-20 kg 5-20 ml Low dose in light animals and high dose in heavy animals should be preferred. The solution should be at body temperature before use. The half of the dose can be administered by slow intravenous route, while the other half can be administered by subcutaneous route. Administration by intramuscular route should be preferred in small animals. In administration by subcutaneous injection, the dose should be injected in a number of different sites. In cases of hypokalemic paralysis and decubitus, the administration should be repeated every 6 hours until the animal lying down stands up or becomes able to stand. In case of recurrence of the disease, the treatment should be continued until successful results are achieved. The treatment duration and period depends on the recommendations of the veterinarian.

INDICATIONS

Symcal Solution for Injection is indicated for the treatment of and protection against acute and chronic metabolic disorders caused by deficiencies of calcium, magnesium and phosphorus in cattle, horses, sheep, goats and dogs. Indications for cattle: hypokalemic paralysis (puerperal fever, paresis puerperalis), tetany (pregnancy or lactation tetany, and transit, barn and grass tetany), the diseases related to the deficiency of minerals contained in its composition (rickets, osteomalacia), allergies, anaphylaxis, decubitus wounds, intoxication, neuroses, puerperal hemoglobinuria and insufficient development in newborns. For horses: tetanies, the diseases related to the deficiency of minerals contained in its composition (rickets, osteomalacia), morbus maculosus, decubitus cases, intoxication, neuroses, and insufficient development in newborns. For sheep and goats: Osteomalacia, acetonuria, decubitus wounds which are not caused by specific reasons, metabolic disorders caused by the deficiency of minerals contained in its composition, intoxication, neuroses and insufficient development in newborns. For dogs: eclampsia, urticaria, rickets, osteomalacia, allergies, intoxication and neuroses. In general, it is indicated for intoxication caused by metals such as lead, mercury, tin and cadmium, in particular chloroform, carbon tetrachloride, organophosphorus insecticide, in all target species.
